Summer Research Program

Bridges trainees spend 8 1/2 weeks on the campus of the University of Michigan during the summer between the first and second years of their master's training. The centerpiece of the Bridges Summer Research Program is classes through the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research.
Activities
In addition to classes in statistics, math and computing through the ICPSR Summer Program, Bridges students participate in a number of workshops and activities during the summer program. This smmer, students attended a series of talks with researchers on health disparities and their career trajectories, participated in workshops on preparing PhD program applications and completed eight hours of training in the Responsible Conduct of Research and Scholarship.
